Applications are now open for the Sentient Futures Project Incubator, an 8-week, mentor-supported program for people who want to build high-impact projects focused on the welfare of future sentient beings.
How it works
From mid-February to late April 2026, fellows will work closely with one of our 39 experienced mentors to make real progress on a project. You can either join an existing, mentor-led project or propose and develop your own.
By the end of the program, we want to see either:
- A finished, standalone output (e.g. a research report, policy memo, or executed intervention), or
- A high-quality intermediate output (such as a polished draft, prototype, demo, or field-building plan) paired with a clear plan to take the work to completion, potentially including a funding proposal
Project focus areas
Projects can span the intersection of AI and animals, artificial sentience, post-AGI futures, and long-term strategy. We're open to any project that plausibly helps future sentient beings and can make meaningful progress in 8 weeks.
Who should apply?
People who are future-focused, care deeply about the wellbeing of all sentient beings, and are excited to execute (not just ideate) to build a better future.
